Eremos | A Wilderness Podcast

A place to slow down, listen, and explore what God reveals in the wilderness.

What is Eremos?

Eremos is the Greek word for wilderness.

Throughout Scripture, the wilderness is far more than a location on a map. It is where God meets people in the quiet, strips away distractions, and reveals what has been there all along. It is a place of honesty, dependence, and transformation.

The wilderness teaches us something our modern world often forgets: there is a difference between arriving and becoming.

You can drive from Panhandle Road to Backbone Rock in about forty-five minutes. Or you can spend two or three days walking the Appalachian Trail between them. Both routes arrive at the same destination, but only one changes the traveler.

Faith often works the same way.

Eremos: A Wilderness Podcast isn’t about finding the fastest route to spiritual growth. It’s an invitation to slow down, walk with God, and discover that the journey itself is part of His work.

What you’ll find on the trail

Biblical Reflection

The wilderness has always been part of God’s story. Through Scripture, we explore the places where God meets His people in uncertainty, solitude, and transformation. And discover what those stories reveal about our own journeys.

The lessons of the wilderness are not only found in ancient stories. Through personal experiences, moments of struggle, and lessons learned along the way, we discover how God continues to meet us in everyday life.

Questions Worth Carrying

Every journey begins with a question. Eremos invites you to slow down, pay attention, and consider what God may be revealing in your own heart.

Space to Listen

In a world filled with noise, the wilderness offers something rare: room to be still. Through reflection, silence, and intentional pauses, we create space to notice the presence of God.

About the Author

Eremos was created by Ryan, a wilderness guide and follower of Jesus who discovered that the trail often becomes a place of honest reflection and deeper trust.

Through seasons of loss, uncertainty, and change, he found that the wilderness was not a place to escape from life, but a place where God met him in the middle of it.

Eremos is not built on having all the answers. It is an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and walk alongside others as we discover what God may be revealing along the way.
